4-Day Tour to Ouzina

Day 1: Fes - Todra Gorges

We set off from Fes in the morning and pass through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, before arriving at the town of Imilchil. We will visit the picturesque twin lakes (Isli and Tislit) which are near the town and your guide will tell you the legend associated with the lakes.

We then continue our journey towards Todra Gorges where you will have dinner and spend the night in your hotel.

Day 2: Todra Gorges - Ouzina

After breakfast in your hotel we will visit the stunning gorge which, in places is only 10m wide while the walls are up to 160m high. Locals escape from the heat of the day in the cool gorge and youngsters play in the clear waters.

We will continue our journey through verdant valleys and Berber towns and villages such as Alnif and Ramlia.

Next we follow the route of the Paris-Dakar Rally until we finally arrive at the auberge on the outskirts of Ouzina, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Ouzina - Merzouga

After a relaxing breakfast we set off across the desert, passing various villages on the Morocco/Algeria border until, in the afternoon, we arrive at Erg Chebbi. Here we will check into a hotel before mountingour camels and ride them across the sand dunes to our camp for the night. We will enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars and spend the night in Berber tents or jaimas.

Day 4: Merzouga - Fes

We will get up very early, while it is still dark, and ride across the dunes on our camels in time to watch the spectacular sunrise before returning to the hotel for showers and breakfast.

Next we will leave the desert behind and head towards Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco. We will drive through the verdant Ziz Valley and across the arid Anti Atlas mountains before taking a break in an Ancient Cedar Forest which is home to a troop of Barbary macaques.

We will arrive at Fes in the late evening and take you right to your hotel.
